DRAMA MINISTRY

Drama has grown to be an effective method of communicating God's Word at English Lutheran Church.  Our Drama Ministry includes actors, make-up artists, stage hands, musicians, sound and video technicians, and a host of other helpers working behind the scenes.

is the story of a poor crumb-picking nobody covered with sores who sits and starves at the doorstep of a rich man.  We performed this drama in the spring of 2004 under the direction of Pastor Jean Gfall who served as our Interim Pastor while Pastor Lauryl Stockness took a leave of absence.  Pastor Jean was instrumental in giving our drama ministry a shot in the arm. The story of Lazarus taught us a great deal about hunger and injustice in our world.

A CHRISTMAS TALE
was a musical drama that featured a  troupe of story tellers who gathered together to communicate a miraculous true story---a story entitled "Christmas."  It was staged at English Lutheran Church on Christmas Eve in 2004 and 2005 under the direction of Pastor Lauryl Stockness.  A Christmas Tale not only told about the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem but covered the entire history of salvation from the creation of the world to the resurrection of Christ.
