AN AUTOMATED EXTERIOR DEFIBRILLATOR (AED) is a portable electronic device that automatically diagnoses the potentially life threatening heart rhythms in a patient and is able to treat them through defibrillation, the application of electrical therapy which stops the arrhythmia, allowing the heart to re-establish an effective rhythm. TRAINING in the use of the church's new AED is available THURSDAY, DECEMBER 4 at 7:30 PM. Please call the church office to sign up for training. 273-4617.  
SILENT AUCTION TO BE HELD DECEMBER 7 TO 14
English Lutheran's annual Silent Auction is held to raise funds for our missionaries, Alan and Marie Krahn, serving in Sao Leopoldo, Brazil. Donated items will be displayed in the Gathering Area and bidding ends after the Sunday School Program in the evening of December 14.

Anyone can donate items. Examples are crafts, baked goods, services, lessons, babysitting, home meals, etc. Business donations are also welcome. Donation forms are available at the church office. Deadline for contributions is Friday, December 5.  Questions or suggestions can be directed to Pastor Lauryl 273-4617 or Angie Raebel 594-3281.

 

CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS PROGRAM
"Shepherds' Christmas Story"
Sunday, December 14 at 6:30 PM
Based on a story by Dandi Daley Mackall

You are invited to hear the story of that first Christmas night in Bethlehem, told by the shepherds who were there. Join our little shepherds as they sing and tell the story of the wondrous news the angels brought to them.

A "Silent Auction" to benefit our missionaries is in the Gathering Area before the program begins. Following the program, treats and beverages will be served for everyone in the lower level Fellowship Hall.

CHRISTMAS CAROLING FOR ALL AGES
Meet at church Sunday, December 21, at 3:30 pm. We will be visiting Ellsworth Care Center and other places to  bring the joy of Christmas song. We will return to the Youth House to enjoy refreshments afterward.
 

AL-ANON meets every Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
Al-Anon is a fellowship of relatives and friends of alcoholics and drug abusers who share their experience, strength and hope in order to solve their common problems.  For information call Elaine at 273-3569. Click here to learn more about Al-Anon.
