YOUTH HOUSE
The Parish House is "born again"!
The Parish House, located on the campus of English Lutheran Church along South Piety Street, has been converted into a “Youth House”!
This is something that has been a GREAT need here in Ellsworth. The Youth House is a place for kids to hang out during the week. On weekends, it's open at certain times for movie nights, game nights, etc. This is a place for all the youth in the community to come!
The purpose of the “Youth House” is to share
Christ through life. At the heart of this ministry is a team of individuals dedicated to making it a place where youth can find genuine friendships and experience God in a real way. It is a neutral, safe and comfortable place for youth to go after school and on weekends. This complements the current youth ministry here at English Lutheran Church. Our Mission Statement is “Make Jesus Known” and that is exactly what we want to do!
The Youth House Vision:
• Make the Youth House a place where youth can experience God in a real way, where there are good role models with whom they can develop healthy relationships.
• Make the Youth House a place where youth can find genuine friendships
• Help each other with homework
• Provide closely monitored computers for kids to use for homework, etc
• Have special activities on weekends, such as movie nights, game night, etc.

• Provide leadership training
• Have clean video games, board games and good books
• Make it a gathering space for Bible studies
• Provide a place for youth bands to practice (garage)
• Promote the activities offered at all the area churches and school bulletin boards
• Provide a simple weekly worship service for community youth
• Develop a community of faith with the youth.
