School Bag Pattern 

Here is a "no waste pattern" for three cloth bags with handles. Needed is one 30" x 45" piece of
sturdy fabric. Denim or duck fabric is a good choice. 

Cut the fabric in three sections of 13" x 45" and two sections of 3" x 45".  Cut the 3" sections into
10" strips for a total of six pieces.

Use 1/2 inch seam allowances.

FOR THE BAG SECTION:  Sew the 13" pieces into 3 bags by folding the piece in half and sewing the two side seams. 
Fold down the top and hem.

FOR THE HANDLE SECTION:  Make two handles for each bag by bringing raw edges of long sides together in center, 
fold together in center to cover raw edges, and topstiching. Attach to bag.
