Sunday School

With all of the uncertainty around gathering in-person in our world today, we wanted to be sure that Sunday school is still available to our children! So we're coming to you!!

Mailing Kits

We are sending out a Sunday school kit to each child enrolled in Sunday school every month of this school year. The kits will include activities, figurines (parts to a set that you will receive some characters of each month), lessons, outreach for the kids, and a reading/booklet for the story.

We will also hold a monthly zoom class for the children if they are able to log in. We'd love to check in with the children, review the items they've received in the kit, and do a very short lesson/ask them a few questions.  Watch for an email with the log-in information if you are registered for Sunday school.

In-Person Sunday School

We are not ruling out in-person Sunday school and would still love to see your children in church, however, we want to be sure the kids can still count on getting Sunday school every month, regardless of the current situation with in-person classes and your family's comfort level gathering with others. We will certainly communicate with you all when/if we're able to meet in person.

Register your child and we will get the kits headed to your home!  Click below and complete the online registration.

There is no cost at all! This is FREE to all! We have been blessed with funding for our program and are excited to bring Sunday school right to your door at no cost to you.

Our Sunday School includes children ages 3 through grade 6.

Please contact the church office to be added to our contact list if you are interested in Sunday school.

Sunday School Mission Focus

Group with Bus.jpg

Each Sunday school year we select a mission to focus on, it may be local, regional, or global.  Throughout the year we learn about the mission of the ministry we are supporting and work to include the whole congregation along with all of the kids in the Sunday school program in our projects.  We focus on educating the children about why this ministry is important to our community, world, and each of us.  We do a mission project during our Sunday school hour a few times a year and collect offerings throughout the year to benefit the mission.  Thanks to all who have generously supported our Children's Ministry Programs!

In past years we've:

  • Helped provide a well for a the Chileka Mission Area of Malawi, Africa.

  • Provided baby supplies to First Choice Clinic in Red Wing for their clients in the Earn & Learn program in Goodhue & Pierce Counties.

  • Given funds to the Moola for Milk program in Pierce County.

  • Helped with the Thanksgiving Basket program at our church.

  • Provided backpacks with school supplies for Lutheran World Relief.

  • Helped raise funds for the school lunch program at the Ellsworth schools so those struggling to purchase lunches are able to eat lunch and breakfast at school.

  • Supported the Ellsworth Food Shelf with funds and food.

  • Provided laundry soap, dryer sheets, and coins to help those who struggle to afford to clean their clothing in the Pierce County area.

  • Make & deliver Easter Baskets to members of our church who are unable to attend church services.
