Sunday School Mission Focus

Group with Bus.jpg

Each Sunday school year we select a mission to focus on, it may be local, regional, or global.  Throughout the year we learn about the mission of the ministry we are supporting and work to include the whole congregation along with all of the kids in the Sunday school program in our projects.  We focus on educating the children about why this ministry is important to our community, world, and each of us.  We do a mission project during our Sunday school hour a few times a year and collect offerings throughout the year to benefit the mission.  Thanks to all who have generously supported our Children's Ministry Programs!

In past years we've:

  • Helped provide a well for a the Chileka Mission Area of Malawi, Africa.

  • Provided baby supplies to First Choice Clinic in Red Wing for their clients in the Earn & Learn program in Goodhue & Pierce Counties.

  • Given funds to the Moola for Milk program in Pierce County.

  • Helped with the Thanksgiving Basket program at our church.

  • Provided backpacks with school supplies for Lutheran World Relief.

  • Helped raise funds for the school lunch program at the Ellsworth schools so those struggling to purchase lunches are able to eat lunch and breakfast at school.

  • Supported the Ellsworth Food Shelf with funds and food.

  • Provided laundry soap, dryer sheets, and coins to help those who struggle to afford to clean their clothing in the Pierce County area.

  • Make & deliver Easter Baskets to members of our church who are unable to attend church services.
