Summer 2021 - Youth Trip
Our annual English Lutheran youth trip is a great way to bring us together when separated by so much this past year. And what better way than spending time immersed in spectacular scenery and listening to God speak through His creation?! Our goal is to have a fun and positive shared experience for all. We are finalizing the details for the backpacking trip our youth chose for this summer, but we need a headcount of those wanting to go so we can move forward.

First Communion Class
Anyone, of any age, is invited to join us for communion classes this March 14. The Sacrament of Holy Communion is a very special gift that is offered to us by Jesus Christ at His invitation. All baptized believers of any age are welcome at the Lord’s Table. So, if a family would like their younger child to receive communion, or if you have an older child who hasn’t had communion class yet, they may attend this class as well. Just like Baptism, receiving First Communion isn’t about having the “right knowledge—” it is about desiring the forgiveness and grace Jesus promises us in this sacrament. The class will include important information and fun activities to help you understand the purpose and meaning of Holy Communion.
March 14, 11:45 a.m. -1:15 p.m. (Eat before you come)
Topics will include:...
Sunday School @ Home
With all of the uncertainty around gathering in-person in our world today, we wanted to be sure that Sunday school is still available to our children! So we're coming to you!!
Mailing Kits
We are sending out a Sunday school kit to each child enrolled in Sunday school every month of this school year.
Confirmation Classes
Confirmation classes are taking place in-person and online now for students in grades 7 through 9. Completion of your confirmation classes takes place in your 10th grade year culminating with the Affirmation of Baptism service. Please contact Pastor Jeff for further information.
Check out our Youth Ministry page for the confirmation registration form and other documents you need for confirmation.
Electronic Giving
Did you know we offer electronic giving? You can make a one-time, weekly, monthly, or semimonthly donation. Donations can be changed at any time. You can use your credit card or have funds moved directly from your bank account. We offer a variety of ways to set this up.
Tech Help Needed
Ever wanted to create a movie? Good with computers? Willing to learn? Searching for someone interested in helping with, being part of a team, or leading the charge, recording and editing our online worship services.
Church Office Hours
Monday - Thursday ~ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Please email or call the church office for any needs/questions you have.
Women's Bible Study
We will not have our monthly Bible study at this time. Those of you who receive the Gather Magazine, can find interesting articles, along with the monthly study.
Communion
Aside from a few of our parking lot worship services, we’ve all been fasting from Holy Communion since March on the guidance of the Presiding Bishop of the ELCA. But with this fast lasting much longer than we all initially expected, a growing number of clergy including myself, feel we must rethink the theological reasons to not do communion “virtually.” So, linked below, you will find a home liturgy for Holy Communion.
Sharing Shed
English Lutheran Church has a “Sharing Shed.” This is a place you can come to drop off items you wish to donate to someone in need. Donations accepted are listed below. No electronics, only necessities. Our shed is a small garden shed, so smaller items only, no furniture. Thank you for your generosity!
It is also a place you can come to take items you are in need of. There is no charge and no strings attached. The shed is not locked and can be accessed at any time. The Sharing Shed is located just outside the back entrance of the church. Please feel free to help yourself at any time.
Prayer Shawls
If you have a loved one who is going through a tough time and could use the comfort of being wrapped in prayers with a blanket/shawl, you may provide a prayer shawl for them.
Please contact the church office if you need a shawl. There is no cost for the shawl.
